After appearing on various media outlets, there is a good chance you have experienced one of my signature keynote presentations or perhaps seen a media interview.
I'm laid-back and easygoing, so I will do my best to talk to you as if we are sitting down having a bite to eat and you just asked me a question.
Niecy, tell me a little bit about yourself and how we might be able to work together.
I'm known as The Model with a Message; I'll explain that in a moment. Over the years, I have given numerous paid presentations for some of the largest organizations.
I am a powerful advocate for women, children and men affected by domestic violence, drawing from over 25 years of hands-on experience in supporting and uplifting survivors.
As an overcomer of domestic violence myself, I bring a unique and deeply personal understanding to my work, empowering others with empathy and resilience. I am the proud mother of two young adults who rose above the perils of domestic abuse within the home to excel not only within society and the workforce, but in life itself.
My transformative journey has made me one of the most sought-after motivational speakers and trauma experts, inspiring countless individuals to reclaim their strength and rebuild their lives.
I am the acclaimed author of the top-selling book, Uncaged: Bruised But Not Broken; Six Essential Strategies For Rising Above Life Challenges. This influential book offers practical guidance and heartfelt encouragement for those facing adversity, equipping readers with strategies to overcome trauma and transform their pain into purpose.
I provide women, children, and men impacted by domestic violence with vital resources to process their traumatic experiences.
My mission is to break the cycle of abuse by offering not only immediate support but also long-term empowerment, helping survivors to rise above their circumstances and build a future filled with hope and healing.
My work is a testament to my unwavering commitment to advocating for survivors and creating lasting change in the lives of those who need it the most.
I produce my own conferences, workshops and trainings. Therefore, I know what's needed to implement a successful event.
Why Do You Do What You Do?
Because I have walked that painful path myself, I have dedicated my life to supporting women, children and men affected by domestic violence.
As a survivor/overcomer, I understand the fear, the isolation, and the deep wounds-both seen and unseen-that come from living in an abusive environment.
My own journey from victim/survivor to overcomer fueled a passion within me to not only heal myself, but to be a beacon of hope for others who are struggling to find their way out of darkness.
For over 25 years, I have worked with and advocated for survivors of domestic violence, offering them a lifeline when they feel most alone.
I believe that every woman, child and man deserves to live a life free from fear, filled with dignity, and rooted in self-worth.
This mission drives me to be a voice for the voiceless, to stand up for those who feel powerless, and to offer support, guidance, and compassion to those who need it most.
I do what I do because I want every survivor to know that they are not defined by their trauma. They are capable of reclaiming their power, rebuilding their lives, and rising above their circumstances.
As a trauma expert, motivational speaker, and author of Uncaged: Bruised But Not Broken, Six Essential Strategies For Rising Above Life Challenges, I share my story and strategies to inspire others to break free from the chains of abuse.
My work is not just a profession, it is a calling and a purpose rooted in a deep desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who are hurting.
My commitment is to help survivors transform their pain into power, to give them the tools and support they need to heal, and to remind them that they are not alone.
I believe in the resilience of the human spirit and the possibility of a brighter future, no matter how dark the past may have been.
This is why I do what I do. Because every life saved, every spirit lifted, and every story of triumph over adversity is a testament to the strength and courage that lies within us all.
Niecy, You Have A Lot To Offer The World. Share Your Story!
I have learned that oftentimes, our goals will lead us to our purpose. For me, that is exactly what happened!
There was a time when I believed the shadows were my home. Not because I wanted them, but because the shadows felt safe.
I was having lunch with a colleague and she said to me, "Niecy, you dress nice, but everyday you look like you are going to a funeral." Silently, I wondered if she knew.
Domestic violence taught me to hide, to shrink, to disappear. It stripped me of everything I thought I was: my confidence, my laughter, my dreams.
I remember looking in the mirror one day, and I didn't recognize myself. I was hollow and a ghost of the woman I once was. I had been full of dreams, laughter and life. Now, all I saw staring back at me was fear.
It was a chance encounter at a bridal convention that would change the trajectory of my life. I met a young lady, a stranger, who seemed uncannily too excited to be in my presence for a first encounter. She suggested and I reluctantly agreed to meet her boss.
I was introduced to a refined and seasoned woman whose first words to me were, "Take your glasses off." What I did not realize during our initial conversation was that she was assessing me: my lack of confidence, self-worth and brokenness.
She looked past my hollowness and recognized that below all that pain lay greatness waiting to burst forth. She never mentioned domestic abuse, yet somehow I know she knew. She wanted to work with me on confidence-building and self-esteem --so she said.
I did not know that she was the president of one of the top modeling agencies in the Southeast. Our initial meeting was in June. By January of the following year, I was competing in an international modeling competition in Los Angeles, California. My platform was domestic violence.
I amazed people by strutting down fashion runways with flashing lights and thunderous applause. But I was ABSOLUTELY AWESTRUCK the first time I shared my story of domestic abuse and solutions with the audience.
People surrounded me and wanted to know MORE!
This was the first time the questions had nothing to do with modeling. Instead, everyone wanted to know how I was able to overcome my challenges and live the life I'm currently living.
Modeling was my passion, and it led me to my purpose.
That's When I Became Known
As
The Model
With A Message.
I used to show people how amazing I was. Now I only show people how amazing and resilient they can be, despite the cards they were dealt in this game called LIFE!
That's the signature message I bring to organizations around the world.

During the call, I will answer any additional questions you may have about how I might be able to help you.
Naturally, I will ask you some questions, too.

One of the lessons I have learned in the game of life is this: You are not forced to live life based on the cards you were dealt. You can stack the deck in your favor and live your life according to those cards.
So, there you have it in a thumbnail sketch. You now know why I do what I do. Quick reminder: If you want to see if I'm available for an upcoming event, call my office at (704) 978-7616 or send an email to contact@niecylive.com. Thank you for a few moments of your time. Have an AMAZING DAY!
